Mail Art, 2010 - 2020
I began to send mail art in 2010 with a series of postcards delivered to 40 individuals as part of the series Nine Fake Cakes and Nine Bodies of Water. In 2011, I joined the Postcard Collective and have consistently created a new piece 2-4 times a year. I sporadically make cards in conjunction with specific projects, one of which was exhibited at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in There Is No Point South of the South Pole. I use mail art to test ideas and many of the ones included here show the start of a new body of work. They allow me to express my interests in other mediums such as variations on the usage of text and social media as an art form.
